Gowtam, who made just 2 films in the span of 10 years coming with a Diffrent type of Movie 'Basanti'. this is his 3rd film, but trailers and posters are saying that, he is far ahead when compared to his first 2 movies in all aspects. Chaitanya Dantuluti, who made a debut with 'Banam', directed this Action and Romantic film. Alisha begh is playing opposite to Goutam. The Movie Unit has made some Unique promotions. Movie got the attention of audience because of huge promotions and all are expecting, Gowtam will strike with this movie. Let's see how 'Basanti' was made ? ..
Story :-
Arjun (Gautham), who is a student in Basanti Arts College falls in love with his college girl Roshini (Alisha Baig) in his very first sight. Their relationship goes stronger with the time and they become very close to each other. In the meanwhile, the terrorists in the Hyderabad kidnaps the students of the Basanti college including Arjun, Roshini and his friends. After that how Arjun rescued Roshini and his friends from the terrorists is the rest of the story.
Performance :-
Coming to Performance we have to talk about Goutham, he played boy-next-door character. He improved his acting skills a lot when compared to his previous films. He made a fine a job in Arjun Role. His Performance added flavor to the movie. on the whole he fitted perfectly in this movie. Alisha Baig, who played female lead made a debut with this movie. Even though she was not beautiful she was natural and simple. performance wise she is just ok. coming to other Supporting roles Tanikella Bharani, Shiyaj Shinde, dhanraj did their job.
Technical :-
Chaitanya Dantuluri proved himself as a good director with his debut movie 'Banam'. this time he came up with a different romantic-action flick 'Basanti'. He choosed a Good Story, which is diffrent from regular mass masala movies, but direction is flat. one can easily understand what happens next. so, the interest will not carry through out the movie. he showed the first half with some class elements and The second half carries the main plot of the story. many sentiment scenes in second half makes audience feel bore. screen-play is not interesting. on the whole he doesn't used this diffrent plot correctly.
Mani Sharma did a fine job as a muisc director. The BGM is one the best thing in the movie. Cinematography is neither good nor bad. Editing is not upto the mark. there are some mistakes in it. Production Values are in simple manner. they missed the quality of Movie.
