Nandamuri Balakrishna is not contesting in next elections. This is the breaking news for Nandamuri fans. Balayya expressed his desire to contest in elections many times in past. Even Nandamuri fans and few Telugu Desam Party leaders supporting Balakrishna were demanding either Gudiwada or Hindupur Assembly ticket for the actor.
However, TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu has other things in mind. He wants Balakrishna to restrict for Party campaigning in Seemandhra and Telangana. If Balakrishna contests in elections, he may not be able to campaign extensively. Another reason is, if Balakrishna wins Assembly seat, he is set to become another power centre to create new headaches for Naidu in the future.
It is also learnt that, Balakrishna is angry with Kodali Nani who won from Gudiwada constituency on TDP ticket in 2009 elections and later joined YSRC. Balakrishna was particular about contesting from Gudiwada against Nani if given a ticket by YSRC. As TDP has a strong hold in Gudiwada and Hindupur constituencies, it is easy for Balakrishna to win there. In the past Balakrishna’s father and founder president Sr NT Rama Rao had won from the same seat and Balakrishna's brother Nandamuri Harikrishna also won from Hindupur once.
Finally, Balakrishna is silent about political entry since last few weeks. What will Balayya decide now? Will he stay away from active politics as Naidu wants to restrict him only for campaigning?
